Warm Winter Wishes

Today I have a Christmas card that I made a couple of weeks ago.  It's a card that I am not "in love" with.  I don't like the scallop border - and this is actually the second incarnation of this card.  I tore apart the first version and added the scallop to this one.  Not loving it ... and I'm seriously considering tearing it apart again.  Has this ever happened to you?  I like everything else about the card, but I just haven't found the right element to "finish" it.

This will be sitting in my work basket until that day arrives that I have an epiphany and can "finish" it.

On another note, yesterday my scrappy friends came over for a day of scrapbooking and we decided to take a field trip.  A Hobby Lobby has finally arrived near me.  They've been open three weeks now.  So off we went.  Wow!  The place is HUGE!  I've been to a Hobby Lobby once before, but I guess I forgot how big it was.  We had fun exploring but barely made a dent in checking out the whole store.  That means more field trips!  Hehe!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!

  1. I like it. I say leave it be. You'll send it to someone and they will love it, because you thought of them and sent them a homemade card. I think the problem with it isn't the scallop border itself but its placement. I think overall the top edge of the design is a smidgen too high up. But it still works. And yes! I still haven't been to the entire Hobby Lobby store that opened in town in March. More field trips!

    1. I agree; I think the problem is the edge of the design is too high. Good eye Judy!
