I knew I wanted to use my Festive Foliage pinecones so I went in search of the perfect patterned paper to complement them. I found it with Simple Stories Handmade Holiday collection. The rest just fell into place and soon I had my first Christmas card of 2013:
I tried to keep it simple and mailable. This is one of my crafting resolutions for 2013. I came up with this when I started mailing my Christmas cards a month ago and realized that I had to add extra postage to most of them and even put some in extra padded packaging.
I know I will still need to add extra postage to this card because it is square. Oh well, I'm a work in progress here but, hey, there are no big pearls or rhinestones to poke through the envelope.
And this card can be easily duplicated. After making this one, I cut out all the pieces to make three more and set them aside. All I have to do is stamp and assemble.
So if you love Christmas and Waltzingmouse stamps like I do, I hope you join us this year! It's a great way to get a head start on making your Christmas cards!
