Time to reveal my crafting resolutions for 2013. I am pleasantly surprised that I actually did pretty good with my 2012 resolutions. Where I did not do good was with my goal to do more scrapbooking. So my only real crafting resolution for 2013 is to scrapbook, scrapbook, scrapbook!
I am already back to work on my trip to the Grand Circle (Utah's National Parks and Monuments) - I took this trip in 2008! And I sent several hundred photos off to Walgreens (50% off all photos sale) for printing from this past year and my summer trip to the Minnesota North Shore. I decided I am going to do all my journaling digitally and print them out. I hate, hate my handwriting. I love seeing some of the beautiful PL layouts out there with hand journaling, but, believe me, my handwriting is absolutely awful.
I currently have lots of Project Life product that I bought last year; so all I need to do is dust it off. But there are a couple of new things I am doing this year:
- I am taking the Studio Calico Day by Day online class for tips, techniques and inspiration. I am really excited about this. The class starts today. I already watched the two videos and am excited to apply some of the tips from both of them, especially the one about adding text to your photos by Catherine Davis.
- I have ordered a Canon Selphy CP900 photo printer from Amazon with a gift card I got for Christmas. I normally prefer to send out my photos for printing because of the cost. I live near a Walgreens that has good photo printing and I usually just wait until they have a good sale. But I think I will like the Selphy for specialty prints, like when I want something immediately while working on a layout.
Right now my craft table is covered with my Utah trip album and photos and other trip-related items. Last night I worked on a plan for my title page that I am happy with. I am really excited about getting back to doing some scrapbooking and I really like the Project Life products.
Well, that's it! Let's see how it goes, shall we? Now I'm off to Walgreens to pick up a few more photos!
I hope you all have a happy, wonderfully crafty new year!
