Love Potion #9

Today's card is my favorite of the week.  I don't know what it is exactly, but I really like it.  I made the card for this week's Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #90.  I recently got the Wanda's Pantry stamp set which has very cool label stamps.  I chose the Love Potion #9 stamp and paired it with some awesome papers from the Echo Park Yours Truly collection.  So simple but I think it totally works.  Of course, I also had a great sketch to work with.  Here is my card:

Sorry for Your Loss - Pet

Today was my scrapbooking day with my gals so no cardmaking.  Instead I worked on scrapping the trip to the National Parks in Utah that I took in 2008.  I hadn't done it before because I kept going back and forth with doing a traditional scrapbook or a digital book.  I finally decided to get it done and use my Project Life kit to do it.  I really like it so far.

So my card today is one that I made last weekend.  Along with other sympathy cards, I made some pet sympathy cards.  I stayed with the same design but chose different colors.

I love the image of the little paw with wings.  It's from the Pawprints on Our Hearts stamp set from Market Street Stamps.

It's Always Better, Together

When I saw Sketch #63 at My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club I knew right away I wanted to use a new stamp set I got from the March release - Pure Innocence: Better Together Little Lamb.  I think the stamp of the two little lambs is my favorite of all my Pure Innocence stamps.  So sweet!

More With Sympathy

Hello Friends!  It is a rainy cold day here in NorCal, more like a January day than a March day.  The good thing about it is that it makes staying in and giving my craft room a thorough cleaning and purging much easier.  I finished tackling all my paper and am really happy with what I was able to make myself do.  I have about a 3 foot high stack of paper that I am offering to my scrapping buddies.  What they don't take, I'll bring to work and give to my colleagues with young children.  No more storing it here.

You're Out of this World

While browsing some fellow crafters' blogs last week, I discovered a new sketch challenge blog called Retro Sketches.  It looks really fun!  I like the idea of recycling old sketch ideas.  I know there are a lot of oldies but goodies out there!  I love the simplicity of Retro Sketch #2 this week.  I think it packs a powerful punch.  I grabbed my October Afternoon Rocket Age paper collection and Papertrey Ink's Boy Basics: Out of this World stamp set and made this card:

What a cute birthday card for a little boy!  Or even a "just because" or congratulations card.  I made the mistake of stamping the flames with a non-copic friendly ink and the ink bled horrendously when I started coloring.  Aack!  I had to start over fresh with the popped up panel.  Luckily it wasn't too much to do; like the time I glued a completed panel on a card base upside down!  I was too tired to start over on that one.

I have a fun card today!  I've had the Say What stamp set and dies from My Favorite Things (MFT) for a while now and have hardly used them.  So when I saw Sketch #62 from the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club, I decided to use this stamp set.  I have to admit I struggled at first because I was trying to make a set of patterned papers work that just wouldn't.  I finally stopped trying and went in search of other papers.  Echo Park's Happy Days collection turned out to be just right and the card quickly came together:

Happy Monday!  Today's card was made using Sketch #25 at Freshly Made Sketches.  It's another great sketch!  

I used the new Cosmo Cricket Evangeline paper collection - so pretty!  I probably spent more time on the sentiment than on the rest of the card.  I couldn't find a Happy Birthday stamp I was happy with, so I finally combined two sentiments from different stamp sets.  Perfect!
