Recently, a good friend of mine needed a card for an Edwardian-themed wedding. I had to do some research online because I wasn't sure what "Edwardian" was. Well, I know all about it now; but sadly, I don't really have anything in my stamp or paper collection that I was convinced was "Edwardian." I immediately thought of my Graphic 45 paper collections - there must be something there I could use. I found some gorgeous papers in the Olde Curiosity Shoppe that I thought would work. This is what I came up with:
I just love the look of layered scallops and I think they look really elegant here with these papers. I have to admit that I started out with a bow on the card, but then I started fussing with it until I ruined it beyond repair. And, of course, I had already adhered the papers to the card base, so I just tied it into a simple knot. Most of the time I am really happy with my bows, but not this day. Sigh.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!
