Christmas in May

Today I felt like making some Christmas cards so I checked with the Waltzingmouse Christmas Card Challenge for May.  The challenge is to use chipboard on your cards.  Well, I love using chipboard and I use it often.  I like making my own embellishments with chipboard and dies.

I pulled out the Waltzingmouse 2011 Holiday Ornaments stamp set and Nestabilities 2011 Heirloom Ornaments dies and made this Christmas card:

I used the chipboard in two different places.  I die cut the ornaments on cream cardstock and chipboard and glued them together.  Very cute!  I can easily see really cute tags or ornaments made with these stamps and dies.  The other place I used the chipboard is behind the card panel.  I wanted something more substantial than the patterned paper by itself because I wanted to pop it up off the card base.
