Valentine Cards for Kids

I received orders to make kids' valentine cards from two colleagues at work.  When I got my Tremendous Treats: Valentine stamp set from Papertrey Ink, I knew exactly what I wanted to do.  I paired the stamps with the Layered Heart dies from My Favorite Things and made these cuties:

I left the images uncolored so that the child (the giver or the recipient) can color them.  They are a great size for this.

Back of the valentine card.

One set (25 cards) is done and packaged and I'll get the other one (22 cards) done this weekend.

This is the first project I used my new Vagabond electronic die cutting machine for.  I used my profits from the craft sale I participated in last December to buy it.  I didn't even open the box until way after Christmas and then it still just sat there.  What was I thinking?  I love it!  Way easier for these projects where I have to cut out lots of shapes with dies.

And, on a side note, yesterday I found out that this card was a winner on the Freshly Made Sketches blog for last week.  What's really exciting about it is that it's not a random pick.  One of the blog team members, the lovely Lesley, picked my card out of a lot of beautiful cards.  How cool is that!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great day!

    1. Hi Jessie! Thanks for all the nice comments! I charge 50 cents a valentine and then I might round down, like for the 22 valentine order, I'll charge $10. For regular cards, I charge anywhere from $3 to $6 depending on how much work I put into the card. Most of my cards sell for $5. I only sell them at work so I don't sell a lot of them.
