I also decided to use Sketch #253 from Card Positioning Systems for this card. It's a awesome sketch!
I took a full 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of cardstock and cut it down to 8 1/8" x 11". Then I scored it at 4" and 8" and folded the end sections inward (3" section inside). Then I decorated the inside 3" section to form a pocket for money or gift cards; the outside 3" section is just covered with patterned paper. The two inside 4" sections are left blank for messages and signatures. The 4" section forming the front of the card was then decorated with patterned paper and an embellishment.
This is what it looked like when finished and folded:
I stamped the stork image from the Graphic 45 Little Darlings Cling Stamp 1 set on vintage cream cardstock with Canyon Clay dye ink, both from Papertrey Ink. This ink was the closest match to the patterned paper -- stamped off once on scrap paper first to produce a lighter image. I really like how it turned out.
Here I opened the card and unfolded the 3" section so you can see the inside pocket. I am really pleased with how this card came together.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great weekend!
