Farmhouse Birthday

One of the recent new paper pads I got is the October Afternoon Farmhouse collection.  Wow! What a gorgeous set of papers.  Perfect for a card that takes advantage of coordinating patterns.  And when I saw this card at The Sweetest Thing blog, I knew I had to use that layout for this card:

The hard part was picking which patterns to use.  I used the 8x8 paper pad for the card, but I also bought many of the papers in 12x12 because I have an idea for a bound card holder that I might try later.

As usual, I made two cards; one will be used later this month for a friend, the other will go in my stash for sale or use later.

Cardstock: PTI Kraft, Vintage Cream, SU Going Gray (retired)
Patterned Paper: October Afternoon Farmhouse 8x8 paper pad
Stamps: Lili of the Valley Happy Circular Sentiments
Ink: PTI Ocean Tides
Other: MFT Decorative Doily die, Recollections Faux Pearls (Michaels), 2" inch circle cut on Cricut using George cartridge
Size: 5.5" x 4.25"
