Happy Halloween Mojo Monday

I made a couple more Halloween cards yesterday.  I found another fun sketch and thought it was perfect for some of the Halloween paper collections I've gotten recently.  For these cards I used the Authentique Glowing papers.  LOVE them!

The chipboard stickers are from the Martha Stewart Elegant Witch collection.  They are so cool!

The sketch I used is from the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge blog:

I really like this sketch; I think I'll be using it a lot.

I think I'm just getting warmed up for Halloween.  I've seen a couple of stamp release sneak peeks for September and I see some pretty cool Halloween stamp sets coming.  I think I'm going to be in big trouble!

I found a fun sketch this weekend and thought I would give it a try.  I've been wanting to participate in some card sketch challenges.

My Big Haul

I recently took a trip to my favorite local scrapbook store - Scrapbook Territory in Berkeley.  They had so many new papers, especially my favorites - the small paper pad collections.  They are perfect for making cards - smaller patterns and coordinating colors: Authentique, Graphic 45, Echo Park, My Mind's Eye, Teresa Collins ... so many yummy papers ... and lots of Halloween and Christmas papers, stamps and embellishments are showing up now.

I can't help but share a photo of my big haul:

Good thing August is my birthday month so I don't feel too guilty buying all this.

You'll be seeing more of many of these items over the next few months.  I started making Halloween cards this weekend.  Love Halloween!

Papertrey August Blog Hop Challenge

I'm baaack!  My MacBook is almost back to normal.  I thought I was going to have to get a new one, but when I took it to the Genius Bar at my local Apple Store, they diagnosed a failed hard drive.  They popped a new one in and I restored my system from backups.  Thank you Genius Bar guys!  So glad I had backups!  But I have one caveat.  If you have backups made automatically like I do, check them periodically!  It turns out that sometime back in February I turned my backups off - so I lost data from then to the present.  I don't think I lost anything critical but it is annoying nonetheless.

So now I have lots of cards to post but first the August Papertrey Blog Hop challenge:

We have another amazing inspirational photo for you this month that we just know
will bring out the very best in your creativity! Look closely and there are so many
directions to go in! Yu can choose to focus on the colors, the motifs, or the idea
of incorporating books/book print or even jars. we look forward to seeing your
creations!

What attracted me in the photo were the pretty pink flowers in the suitcase.  I replicated the inside of the suitcase by using a Damask Designs stamp to create a pretty background on Fine Linen paper.  I really like how the card turned out.

Thanks for looking!  You can check out the rest of the Blog Hop participants on the list over at Nichole's blog.  Have a great Blog Hop day!

And one last thing:  My sister, who has been making cards way longer than me and really makes awesome cards, now has a blog.  Check it out here:  Come Fly With Me Cards.  Thanks Megan and Melissa for creating a really awesome blog for your mom!

Stamps: PTI Damask Designs and Simple Sentiments
Ink: Memento Desert Sand, PTI True Black

Do You Hear Crickets?

Just a quick note to say that I won't be posting much for a little while.  I've been super busy with other projects this summer so I already hadn't posted much lately.  And now my MacBook has croaked!  Luckily I have backups so I am not concerned about losing any data.  But I am now without my computer.  I have other computers available, including my old Dell PC which I am using now to write this.  But none of these computers have my software and my settings. So, until I can get a new MacBook, it'll be pretty quiet on the Lucky Dog Stamper blog. I'll still be making cards and taking photos of them so I'll have a lot to post when I am back up and running.

See ya later!!
