Papertrey July Blog Hop Challenge

Hi there!  Long time no blog!  July has been a busy, busy month for me.  I started the month with a visit to my family in Minnesota.  We had a great time visiting and chillaxing.  On the 4th of July we decorated my parents' pontoon boat and joined the parade on the lake.  We even won 1st place!  When I got back home, we prepared for my daughter to move back home after finishing college.  So while we moved things around to adjust for another adult, I got into an organizing and cleaning frenzy in my craft room.  I gathered lots of unused stamping and scrapbooking supplies and sold much of it through online forums.

So July has just flown by, and it's time to get crafting again!  In fact, I've even thought that it might be time to start making holiday cards and projects. OMG! Did I just say that out loud?  Okay, back to reality, how about I just try to finish out the month with some crafting under my belt.  First up is my card for Papertrey July Blog Hop Challenge.

We have another amazing inspirational photo for you this month that
we just know will bring out the very best in your creativity! Look
closely and there are so many directions to go in! You can choose
to focus on the colors, the motifs or the overall design! We look
forward to seeing your projects!

I was not only inspired by the colors in the challenge photo, but also the design elements, particularly that of the curtains.  And since I just got Papertrey's new Peaceful Garden stamp set, I had to ink it up!  Here is what I came up with:

Isn't the little dragonfly cute?  I found him on Papertrey's Places, Please stamp set.  And, of course, a little added bling to add a touch of sparkle.

Thanks for looking!  Now check out the rest of the Blog Hop participants on the list over at Nichole's blog.  Have a great Blog Hop day!

  13. That is awesome how you took the curtains and used them as a design element on your card. The dragonfly is cute :) The overall card is really sophisticated! I bet your creativeness is what helped to get your boat decorated to win 1st prize on the 4th! And you're not the only one who's been thinking about holiday projects ;)
