Make It Monday #8 - Back in the Saddle

Woohoo! Two posts in one day!

As soon as I saw the Papertrey Make It Monday technique video this week, I knew what I wanted to do.  I had recently received a couple of new stamp sets from Waltzingmouse with a western theme.  So cute!  And perfect for this technique.  Easy peasy, right?  Nope, not for me.  I had the Tim Holtz Blending Tool but only tried to use it once before -- didn't like it.  But this time I pulled it out and was determined to make it work.  I had never used this technique before and I had to practice a lot, but ultimately I think I finally got the hang of it.

And in the end, I am very happy with the card; even my husband was impressed.

Now I'm kinda embarrassed to submit this to the Make It Monday Challenge as the only thing Papertrey on it is the cardstock and one sentiment on the inside, but it meets the challenge requirements and I am quite proud of it.

Go to Nichole's blog to watch the technique video for this challenge.  And you can see the amazing cards that others submitted to the challenge.  Very inspiring.
