My Condolences

Today I learned that the husband and father of two special people passed away in December.  I didn't know him personally and I do not know his wife and daughter personally.  Yet for the last year, they have brought much joy into my life with my new-found love of stamping and cardmaking.  I created the following card for them with my sincerest condolences.

In the mail today was the Decorative Doily die from My Favorite Things, so I just had to use it.  I was surprised and very pleased that the circular frame from PTI's Spooky Sweets II stamp set matched the inner circle of the doily perfectly. I think it looks very pretty.

I apologize for the photo.  I guess I need to invest in a light box so I can take photos indoors.

Cardstock: PTI Kraft, PTI Rustic Cream
Stamps: PTI Spooky Sweets II, Verve Forever in Our Hearts
Ink: Memento True Black, Memento Rose Bud, PTI Tea Dye Duo
Other: MFT Decorative Doily die, PTI Hibiscus Burst ribbon, crystals from my stash
Size: 4.25" x 5.5"

  1. Beautiful!! The addition from Spooky Treats really made this so special along with the doily die!!!

  2. Your card is LOVELY! I am sure they will appreciate it.. that die is FABULOUS.. I think I need to get it in my collection! :)
    Have a GREAT day!

  3. Linda, your card looks fantastic! That die is fabulous isn't it? I'm so hooked on MFT dies! Both of their doily dies are great! Love your perfectly tied bow too!

  4. What a great find that spooky treats fits so beautifully.

  5. Love the frame stamped inside the diecut. That makes the card. Your thoughtfulness will be sure to bring your friends comfort.
